According to the report published on the Tranparency registry page, Tether Tresury has issued 300 million tokens in US dollars increasing the total company’s assets up to $10.8 billion.
USDT on Tron blockchain surpasses 3.4 billion
Tether (USDT) has been rapidly growing over the recent months doubling its capitalization in less than 5 months. The company launched an aggressive policy of money issuing which was criticized by the community.
The founder and CEO of Tron Foundation Justin San appealed only Twitter to clarify that USDT circulation value on Tron blockchain had exceeded $3.4 billion.
Last year the company’s CEO predicted that USDT based on Tron would become the leading world stablecoin. Still, major part of stablecoins is yet based on Ethereum blockchain. In comparison, ETH USDT is worth $6.28 billion while the Troon’s — just $3.1 billion.
Among other blockchains that host USDT stablecoins there are OMNI, EOS, Algorand, SLP and Liquid.
