Hacked crypto exchange firm loses $ 5.4 million in Bitcoin

Slovak cryptocurrency exchange company Eterbase reported on Thursday that they were hacked and lost $ 5.4 million in the attack. Hackers managed to get into six hot wallets that had BTC, ETH, ALGO, XRP, TRON, TEZOS, and they all cleared out

Eterbase crypto exchange’s response to hacking

The cryptocurrency exchange firm took security measures in response to the attack. First, deposits, withdrawals, and trading were suspended. According to Eterbase, operations on the platform will continue after the audit of its security system is completed.

The firm also said that although the hack was detected, it could not be stopped. However, they managed to track the coins. Most of the coins were reportedly sent to Binance, Huobi Global, and Hitbc Eterbase wallets. They also contacted these exchange companies and demanded that funds be frozen.

Earlier, Cashaa, another cryptocurrency exchange, also lost 336 BTC due to hackers. It then announced that a hacker had attacked one of his wallets Blockchain.com, which is used for storing BTC and making transfers from the exchange.
