Decentralized Finances market has been actively gaining momentum over the recent period. New initiatives continue entering the DeFi space everyday, and more and more companies aim to participate in the new industry. According to the chief technological director of Ripple David Schwartz, the company is now studying this field.
Ripple aims to open up DeFi market
In an interview with BlockDown TV Schwartz announced that Ripple was going to offer more services based on blockchain, and DeFi initiatives would be among them.
Schwartz is one of XRP ledger developers, and he expects that RippleNet will become the single solutions for institutional clients.
Nevertheless, this is not the first time Ripple reveals its plans regarding DeFi space. Last year Xpring, the investment subdivision, purchased Logos Network payment system for developing decentralized financial projects on the basis of XRP.
Besides, this March there was published a vacancy which hinted at that Ripple aimed to design “a trading platform of next generation”. The company is going to integrate the platform into its solution for cross-border payments with XRP and ODL support.
